Project to Translate Classical Indian Literature

I found this broadcast last week on the On Point NPR show interesting. I do not know a whole lot about classical Indian literature and have only read a couple of translations into English. I'm glad to hear of this project to produce many more translations.

Interesting. I picked up a book of poetry some time back that was from Iran (in Kindle format) after seeing it talked about on Charlie Rose one night. Not quite the same thing but certainly very old and new in translation.A lot of very old writings are still not in English so I found it intriguing. Amazon US Not cheap but then it isn't in PD as far as the English translation goes.
