Bibliographic Data?

Does Calibre 4.2X offer means to record, generate, manage and/or export bibliographic reference data? And more specifically, is there any option for integration between Calibre for Windows and EndNote software by ThompsonReuters?

Any insights or suggestions appreciated.

All the best, George

calibre has the ability to use custom columns to store arbitrary data.
People have successfully written plugins to store a lot of information, much of it in custom columns, for example referencing library ebooks (OverDrive checkout availability), linking to Goodreads and tracking Goodreads shelves, searching for Library of Congress or Dewey Decimal identifiers, etc.

So whatever you want to do can almost certainly be done by a plugin, although you might have to write one to do it -- or get someone else to write it for you.

Most of the bibliographic data is already available from the standard meta data on a title, at least, for a basic citation of an ebook. Is there any provision in Calibre to export that meta data in any form of basic or specific bibliographic style, that is, short of writing a plugin?

You can export your calibre library as a bibtex catalog using the create catalog function in calibre.
