Writing app for PB302
An application for writing text on the PB302 was announced (it was one of my main reasons for purchasing it). Is there any news on this? E.g. date of issue?

Does that mean that bluetooth keyboards will be working soon (or will that only be one sold by pocketbook)?

That's awesome news.
I've been very impressed, as I read through the forum here, with your company's (and distributors') willingness to communicate and work as a team with your users. |

I do not undertand e-ink technology, but would each entry of a letter in this writing app imply a screen refresh (or pageturn), so that charge-like you can enter max. 16.000 letters?

I think the tx/rx across the bluetooth radio is going to have a vastly more deleterious effect on the battery life than the pixel flipping ever will. |

I just hope it will have a decent on-screen pop-up keyboard (but I guess it will).

E-writer: YES! Finally, a company gets it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pocketbook, for finally getting it that e-ink cannot really go anywhere until what is read on an e-reader can also be written on one. One, it thus produces it's own content, making itself viral. It's alive because it's part of a loop of production and consumption. Two, we can now have neutral, non-irritating screens to compose with as well as read with. This is going to subtly but radically improve the content that is generated. Again, Marshall McCluhan was right: the medium is the message.
I can't say enough about this, so I'll stop here. I start saving for your device this minute! |

If you read the dates, the thread started in July. It's really... well, hard to defend that we're still waiting for the firmware update and the writing app 2 months later.

With the upcoming series 9.., should owners of the series 3.. start worrying? The pb302 was commercially released with beta firmware, but with the promise of a full blown web browser and writing app in a very stable environment soon! So far we're still waiting; input from pb concerning this issue seems to get less. Hope I'm mistaken. But it does not feel good at this point in time. Please pb, send us some reassurance!
