Help on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid

I have upgraded to this system and can't get either Bookdesigner or eBook Publisher to work. Bookdesigner gets stuck loading and eBook Publisher gives me the following error:

I went onto my other laptop, with the last version of Ubuntu on it and tried to run the already installed Bookdesigner there. It also seems to have stopped working. Any help would be appreciated!
