Looking for a good Fantasy mag without the Sci-Fi
I'm a big fantasy fan but was never much into sci fi*. I was wondering if there are any fantasy magazines out there in eBook land that are pure fantasy and no (or little) sci-fi.
*Except steampunk, which is awesome. |

How about Black Gate magazine? It's a print magazine (and a chunky one, too), but it is now available as a PDF.
The main site: http://www.blackgate.com/ Link to PDF rates: http://www.blackgate.com/black-gate-...ons/#PdfPrices |

Nice, looks like they even have samples online. I'll have to read through some when I get a few. Thanks for the tip!

Nakor you might try the following ones: Weird Tales, and Realms Of Fantasy. I find them all to be very good. If you like horror fantasy you might want to check out H P Lovecraft's Magazine Of Horror.

The online ones come and go quite a bit.
You might find http://www.duotrope.com/ useful, it's mostly for writers to find fiction markets butit's useful for hunting out online fiction magazines. You cna search by genre but you'll need to do a little browsing to find which ones are fantasy specific. |

Thanks for the tips. Realms of Fantasy does seem to be my style, I'll have to check that one out; pity its only eBook version is Kindle, but I'm not wholly opposed to ink on paper either. The Duotrope site looks promising as well.

This isn't a magazine, but I would suggest Year's Best Fantasy series of anthologies. I read their SF series and it is good.
http://www.fictionwise.com/ebooks/b1...Hartwell/?si=0 They collect fantasy short fiction from many different magazines and include some short discussions on where to find more from the included authors. |
