Covers are an issue between the 505 and 900
I had a chance today to have a look at the 900. I did take an SD card with some ePub eBooks to give it a try. One of the ePub eBooks I tried (converted to ePUb with Calibre) had part of the cover cut off on the left and right side. Seems the code used for the cover on a 6 inch screen is not always going to be appropriate for the 900 depend in the original size of the graphic.
Is it possible to sort out Calibre so an ePub will display the graphics without any of it going off screen no matter which Reader is used? |

The way calibre specifies covers is that they take up 100% of the height. On screens with an aspect ratio different to that of the 6 inch readers this will maen horizontal cut offs. The size of the cover image doesn't matter.

Is there any way to fix this so the same ePub will work on both a 6" screen and a 7.1" screen?

I don't think fallback would work. I don't know of any epub reader taht supports fallbacks other than ADE.

Of course not, sadly. But there's a difference between some optional feature or extension (which you can't assume it will work), and some required feature that some implementations fail to support (which can be called a "bug" in that implementation).
