Page setting of the first page in a mobi file
Hello everyone!
I put this topic here (instead of the Workshop section) because it is heavily mobi related. I was looking to several mobi eBooks to find good ideas of page settings And then, I opened this: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/...&orderBy=best# (first link, "Essai gratuit") On the first page (page 2 actually in the given example), I found a very interesting feature: The vertical space between the title and the image adapts itself depending on the page size, instead of being fixed. (see attachments for visual explanation) As you can imagine since I'm posting a thread, I tried hard but I still don't know how to recreate this effect. I would appreciate some Thank you Last edited by FouxDuFafa; 11-23-2009 at 01:29 PM. |

The code looks like this:
Code:
<mbp:pagebreak/> <div height="7%"></div> <div> <h2 width="0%" align="center"><font size="7"><b><span><b>A C<span><font size="4">HRISTMAS</font></span>[T<span><font size="4">O</font></span> R<span><font size="4">EMEMBER</font></span></b></span></b></font></h2> <div height="5%"></div> <h2 width="0%" align="center"><font size="5"><b><span><b><span><i>Kay[Stockham</i></span></b></span></b></font></h2> <div height="40%"></div> <div height="3%"></div> <p width="0%" align="center"><img recindex="00002" alt="image"/></p> <div height="3%"></div> <p width="0%" align="center"><font size="2">TORONTO • NEW YORK • LONDON<br/> AMSTERDAM • PARIS[• SYDNEY • HAMBURG<br/> STOCKHOLM • ATHENS • TOKYO • MILAN • MADRID<br/> PRAGUE[• WARSAW • BUDAPEST • AUCKLAND</font></p> <div height="0%"></div> </div> </div> <div> <mbp:pagebreak/> |

How does it work on Calibre?
When I add the .mobi book, it doesn't convert it to html, and I couldn't find a way to visualize the tags. |
