Mercury Falls "is a blast from start to finish"
My independently published novel, Mercury Falls, has just been released on the Kindle and Smashwords! http://mercuryfalls.net
A Top 500 Reviewer says: Quote:
The ebook is $5.00 $1.99. Get the Kindle version. Get other (Stanza, Sony, PDF, etc.) versions. Thank you! Last edited by robkroese; 11-21-2009 at 12:59 PM. Reason: Adding smashwords link & updated price |

Congratulations. However, any plans to release it in a format non-Kindlers can use?

Columbus and rhadin -
Thanks for your interest! Yes, it's also available as PDF. http://bit.ly/mfpdf And, of course, hard copy: http://bit.ly/azmerc. Were there other formats you were wondering about? (Apologies if this is a stupid question; keeping up with all these formats is making my brain hurt). Last edited by robkroese; 10-20-2009 at 02:22 PM. Reason: misspelling |

Welcome to MR and I'll third the request for a format that can be read on anything but a Kindle. You can read the various threads in our forums to learn about how many other readers there are both in the US and the rest of the world. We are an international forum with potential readers from around the world (if only your book was available in a format that could be used)
ePub is a format that seems to be able to be used on many different devices. (IMO, a plain pdf file is not considered an ebook format) Have you checked out Smashwords? The below link is to smashwords and how to publish on their site. https://www.smashwords.com/about/how..._on_smashwords MR has many author members (see my signature for a few) who publish through them. Also, their style guide is free.. http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52 Quote:

Dreams - Thanks for the info. I will check out Smashwords. Trust me, I'm not thrilled with Amazon right now myself. If I can avoid them AND reach more readers, I'll do it. Will post a followup when MF is available in another format.
Thanks again! |

Thanks for the heads-up re: Smashwords, dreams! A very handy site indeed. |

I seemed to have missed the followup on your thread.
It's great that you have your book on smashwords now. The lower price will entice readers to consider an unknown author. It might help to "edit" your first post to include all the links to your book to make it clear where and in which formats your work is available. We love to support author/members who stick around and participate in the various threads. |

Get Mercury Falls for $1.99 - and $1 goes to charity!
A quick update: Through December 4, for every digital copy of Mercury Falls sold, I will donate $1 of the $1.99 price to charity. You can get the book at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/5038. So far Mercury Falls has gotten 47 5-star reviews out of 56 total reviews! A recent reviewer says:
