Free on Kindle - Loving A Lost Lord (Pre-Order)
Loving A Lost Lord, by Mary Jo Putney, was supposed to be released yesterday, but is still showing as a pre-order. Luckily for us, it's also entirely free, at least for the next five days - so one-click it now and it'll be delivered as soon as it is actually released.
Book Description In the first of a dazzling series, Mary Jo Putney introduces the Lost Lords-maverick childhood friends with a flair for defying convention. Each is about to discover the woman who is his perfect match-but perfection doesn't come easily, even for the noble Duke of Ashton. . . Battered by the sea, Adam remembers nothing of his past, his ducal rank, nor of the shipwreck that almost claimed his life. However, he's delighted to hear that the golden-haired vision tending his wounds is his wife. Mariah's name and face may not be familiar, but her touch, her warmth, feel deliciously right. . . When Mariah Clarke prayed for a way to deter a bullying suitor, she didn't imagine she'd find the answer washed ashore on a desolate beach. Convincing Adam that he is her husband is surprisingly easy. Resisting the temptation to act his wife, in every way, will prove anything but. And now a passion begun in fantasy has become dangerously real-and completely irresistible. . . |

Wouldn't that be nice? Someone should keep an eye out for it and let us know. Someone smart and not too busy. :P

Hmmmmm, I usually do not like Romance. On the other hand I do enjoy Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER series. How would this compare??

I think you'll like Putney if you liked "Outlander." Putney has a gritty, dark edge to her books.

Ya, but she is still pretty "romance-y," as in the romance between the 2 main characters is the central storyline, with the "issues" being on the side. I'm not saying don't try it; I'm all for try and see...especially if you can get it free.

If you don't have a Kindle, get an iPhone or iPod Touch and register it with you Kindle account. Then you can use whatever that program is that sorts through you backed up content on your computer or just jailbreak the device and browse through it. Then remove the DRM from the extracted file, convert, and voila!
