RIP Nobel Laureate Alice Munro

The acclaimed Canadian writer has died at 92. She was particularly well-known for her short stories.

Here is a link to the AP article (via MSN).

I've enjoyed reading many of her short stories over the years.

I remember visiting Munro Books in Victoria several times over the years. I enjoyed her short stories but wished at time that she would write some longer works.

From The Guardian:

Quote:
Margaret Atwood once called her “among the major writers of English fiction of our time.” Salman Rushdie praised her as “a master of the form” while Jonathan Franzen once wrote: “[Munro] is one of the handful of writers, some living, most dead, whom I have in mind when I say that fiction is my religion.”
