You don’t need x86 version, you need arm64 android version.
Are you trying to install stable version or specific nightly? |

You can blame android for the lack of an explaination of what happens.
You can also blame yourself for picking artifacts from a CI pipeline instead of properly released binaries in https://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/ Most likely you're trying to install an unsigned APK. |

Yes, and it says you need to sign it
![]() Maybe I should remove the Gitlabs from there |

Because android APKs need to be signed and we don't sign CI artifacts. Please use released binaries or learn how to generate a key and sign your own APKs.
There's no real benefit for end users to use a self signed app and a few drawbacks, so choose the recommended method instead. |

The error "android apk pipeline installation failure" suggests the downloaded APK file couldn't be installed on your arm-based device, likely due to a mismatch between the APK's architecture (android_x86) and your device's architecture (arm). To fix this, you need either an arm-compatible version of the APK or a way to run x86 apps on your arm device.
