James, Henry: The Friends of the Friends, v.1, 5 January 2009.
Henry James (1843–1916)
The Friends of the Friends (1896) Originally published in 1896 as ‘The Way It Came’. This text is the New York Edition, 1896. A ghost story. Or is it? We might have a deluded narrator, instead. This dilemma also appears in the later tale, ‘The Turn of the Screw.’ This work is assumed to be in the Life+70 public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution.
