Yea, the prices on cyberread aren't really as good as on booksonboard or fictionwise but with the discount, it makes the prices pretty reasonable.
Glad that it's been useful! |

Hey, thanks for the info.
By the way is it the real discount or something like micropay rebates or rewards dollar (for buying another book) ??? |

This is so bad...
I just bought an ebook (Thank God I just bought one cause I intended to buy 7!!!!!) from cyberread.com And when I notice they don't ask for the PID Number I tried to ask some questions to cust service (about whether I can read it in my Hanlin V3). And when they said yes and help me with the instruction, I bought it (just one for trial). I've followed all the instruction, and still I can't read the ebook in my V3 Can somebody help me here?? Or how is it to strip this DRM? Cause I can't read this book |

Trust me guys, you'll regret it if you ever buy something from cyberread.com.
I bought a book, it can't be read at all in my device, and I send them around 5 or 6 emails already and NO REPLY YET (when I asked it earlier whether I can buy the book for my device it only takes a couple of minutes for their reply, but when it's a problem, where are they????). |

They never ask PID number, I had reconfirm that thing before I bought it in case I got it wrong, but yes they never ask for PID Number.
If you open it in desktop mobireader they'll ask your user and pass in cyberread in order to open the book. And they said it can be transferred to Hanlin V3 with drag and drop from my Mac (and I've registered my Hanlin PID Number also), still no luck, and still no responds from them. Just ask for a refund. As far as I've been able to tell, Cyberread rely on the use of Mobipocket Reader on Windows to encode their Mobipocket books with PIDs. If you don't have Windows, you can't use their Mobipocket books.
Hopefully they'll set up manual PID entry on their website eventually. Quote:

PDurrant, yes I asked them for refund (if it still can't be transferred to my Hanlin), let's see how they'll respond, it's been one day, and I sent 5 or 6 messages to them, still no reply Last edited by curlygirl; 01-06-2009 at 07:45 AM. |

It is for CyBook... you profile shows you have one. But, I can't imagine it would be difference with a CyBook or V3. http://cyberread.custhelp.com/cgi-bi...i=&p_topview=1 Although I've got to say from reading that I don't understand how your PID gets to the store.
