calibre ebook viewer
Since version calibre 6.12 the calibre ebook viewer doesn't work anymore on Linux Mint. Anybody here having similar issues while using calibre on Linux Mint or Ubuntu? If so, is there any solution to the problem?
I've downgraded to 6.11 twice, where the viewer does its job. Now I'll probably use Okular instead of calibre ebook viewer ...

Maybe you missed this ==>> Ebook-viewer does not work with Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland [6.13]

I think there may be some other threads - search for 'linux' in this sub forum.

That can't be the problem, LM 20 ulyana isn't based on Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland, but on Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa

No problem here with with calibre 6.14 on Ubuntu Mate 22.04 (xorg - not wayland).

It is working with calibre 6.14 here with no problems.

My system:

Linux Mint 21.1 Vera
Cinnamon 5.6.7
Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 1.21.1.3 driver: X: loaded: amdgpu,ati unloaded: fbdev,modesetting,vesa gpu:

seems that the older versions Linux Mint (like Linux Mint Mate 20) don't support the necessary methods that Calibre 12 and newer are using for ebook viewer anymore. Oh well, I'll use Okular instead then.

Mint 20.1 was fine with 6.12 and 6.13 Calibre. I've upgraded 20.3 -> 21.0 -> 21.1 on the PCs & laptops here just recently.
