Do I see a typo in "lnternational" (ell instead of capital i)? If it's here, it's probably in the book too...

It is, too. As you rightly deduced, I assemble the table of Contents by copy/pasting from the individual story, then copy-paste the Contents into the thread. 100 percent carry through. I will really have to abandon using sans-serif font while preparing the original text. But I detest Times New Roman as a screen font.

I changed the font on my current work in progress to Schoolbook, a nice easy-to-read serif font. I'll see how that goes as a screen font. (I don't embed fonts so it doesn't affect the ebook results).
I noticed also that PM50 went offline, and frantically searched the book to find out why. And found out that the author E G Loring died 1951. Then I realised that it was meant to be in PM 54, a book under construction, which has only stories by authors who died in 1951, but it got slotted into the wrong book. Oh well, PM50 will be doubtless back on line in January. |

@Pulpmeister -- thank you for all the Past Masters collections! Much good reading to be found.
PS--- Can I recommend, if you prefer to work using Sans-Serif fonts, to try a "coder's" monospace --- the best ones make a clear difference between Zero and Uppercase O; between numeral One and Uppercase I and Lowercase L, etc. etc. I use Monaco, an old font that has poor unicode support, just because I am used to it, but I have tried and liked PT Mono (Para Type) and Source Code Pro, because they have the curvy lowercase L (obvious difference to One or I) ---- both are SIL Open Font License, and available for free download on many sites. |

I am trying Bahnscriftt; the font used on Autobahn signs. It comes in various weights, this one is semilight.

That's quite nice.
But I prefer fonts that use a slashed or "dotted" zero, to set them apart from uppercase O. This font is a little too subtle for me. |
