Exclamation kobo n905 not responding to touch - uses?

Hello, I have a n905 (plain, no internal sd card), which stopped reading input on screen.
I dissasembled, cleaned, watch for broken parts, even put hot on it for a possible cold solder, but nothing worked.

I reset it to factory defaults, connected to pc to register it without problems, except, now there is a message to choose language on screen but I can´t press on any of the options.

It stopped working while sitting turned off in my desk for some days.

Is there something I could try to revive it? I am an electronic engineer.

If not, could this device be used somehow without using the screen for inputs?

The most common reason for the touch in the devices that use IR touch to stop working is because there is dirt under the bezel blocking IR beams. Carefully cleaning under the bezel will usually solve this.

Another common reason is not putting it back together properly. The IR emitters and sensors need to stick up above the screen behind the bezel. If they are not aligned properly, the touch will not work.

The other reasons are usually software. Doing a restart usually fixes it. Or a factory reset when it doesn't come work after that.
