High DPI scaling won't work on a 4K screen

I'm running a dual monitor configuration with a double 4K Dell display set.

I used to run Calibre in High DPI mode and it was working perfectly until an unexpected app crash a couple of weeks ago (I don't know the reason). The app was restarted successfully but it got reverted to standard DPI with all elements/fonts huge.

Modifying the respective option won't help here, regardless of the setting, the app won't adjust to high DPI... Can anyone advise if this can be fixed in any way?
