The 13th Paladin
I ran into this YA series earlier in the week. One of those, oh that looks interesting and a largish number of reviews, mostly 4 or 5 stars. It wasn't expensive so why not?
It's really quite good. It's written by a German writer named Torsten Weitze and the translator did a very good job. Basically, it's a standard coming of age/quest story. The first two books are out with the 3rd coming out in May. Is it LOTR or Harry Potter? No, but it's easy to read and is fairly subtle with a few interesting twists. It's worth reading if you are into the fantasy genre and like YA. |
