Urquhart, Paul: Cross Currents (1919); v1: 26 Jun 2019
Originally published as a serial in 1916, then as a hardback book in 1919, this is the last "Paul Urquhart" collaboration between Ladbroke Lionel Day Black (1877-1940) and Thomas Meech (1868-1940). After 1919 all books by "Paul Urquhart" were by Ladbroke Black alone.
Events in the distant past return to haunt the present. Sir Clifford Maxwell, Bt., is suddenly pitchforked into drama, murder, and mystery. Only his great friend Dick Hardy, R.N., on a mysterious assignment, can help save him from the gallows. The cover was created using a 1910 image of a steam yacht.
