Its $250 (or $280 for the 32GB) without a case, so what happens with the battery as 3/4 of it was in the case? Is this really the way Amazon see ereaders going?

There's no mention of a battery in the case, so it looks as if they've ditched that.

they are still advertising the "weeks" of battery life. The device is clearly bigger, even looks a bit thicker on the handle side. So it looks like they just transferred the battery to the device.

Any chance that means remote page turn in books might work too, and they just don't advertise it?

Looks like firmware updates with new features are also on the way for some current Kindle owners:

Excellent - ordered the 32GB WiFi version and the leather case. It has the Voyage's adaptive light, which is what I missed in the original Oasis.
