OK, I've voted. Let me give a bit of a push for a book that so far isn't getting much love from the voters. Death in the Dordogne, AKA Bruno, Chief of Police. This is the first of an excellent little series of quite cozy books. Ones to enjoy and settle in with. There's also a quite good Audible version, read by Robert Ian MacKenzie.

Would that be the Perry Mason #1? Yes, I enjoyed that (as I do most of the Mason books) and wouldn't be averse to a re-read.
Actually, of all the books having at least four votes, all look interesting. The Lawrence of Arabia is the only one that makes me wary, and that's only because of the length. Still, I might read that one when I'm not facing a deadline. |

Well, poop. It looks like my one choice won't be winning.
It would have been great to have been able to read the same book for two different groups, especially since my reading time will once again be limited. |

Read it anyway, Nyssa. It's a fun book. And if you're of the audio book persuasion, I highly recommend the Audible version of the book. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is an inspired choice for narrator.

I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be participating in a buddy read of the whole series with a group, starting on the first of the new year. |

Music of the Spheres is a good book. If you like science fiction or Star trek, give it a vote. It is 100% free. You can get it right here in the Mobileread library.

Oh, my. Midnight Riot jumped into contention out of nowhere. I'd love an excuse to listen to it again, so that's excellent. And I haven't read that Heinlein since 1957, so I rather doubt I remember any of it.

I wish I could find a door into summer; failing that, the novel seems suited as an antidote to these cold, dark days. |

I do wish that they had kept both the British title and cover, though. My understanding is that this one has little to do with the actual story. Can't wait to start reading it, come hell or high water (as they say), on the first. |
