Column with date and time format
Hi, it's me again
![]() I wonder if in Calibre it's possible to set a custom column with date and time. It's because when I add new books, of course, the modify column show me the date, however, if I make a full modification of data (whatever it was), all the books show the same date, of course, because all books change some information, even if the data change or not. I notice that Calibre knows which books are recently modified, because when I sort by modified, so the time looks to me usefull. It's possible to create a custom column with this criteria? Again, sorry my grammar if I make mistakes Best regards from Lima, Perú Blessings and have a nice sunday |

Thanks for answering, but, how? The only column type that i can use is Date type, and the dates formats are ddMMMyyyy and 3 more with the same values (d,M,Y). How can I set, by example, hh:mm:ss?
Regards from Lima, Perú |

Code:
yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss Given your use case, you might also want to use the keyboard shortcut to set a date column to the current day/time. Edit the column (usually by positioning the cursor in the field and pressing F2 to edit) then press CTRL= (control + equals) to set the date to "now". |

First possibility: did you restart calibre? Second possibility: are there really values in the column for those books? EDIT: Try running calibre in debug mode and see if it displays anything. Here are the equivalent images for me. |

date is really a timestamp, but it may have more flexibility FWIW my last_modified (lookup name) is Date Type and will not let me format it ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thank you both for responding. Chaley, I always restarted Calibre and I have no data in the column because the data I want to take is assigned to the program when a book is modified.
Theducks, I'm not sure understand you. Is possible that in a custom column can choose or use the last_modified information? Because this is the value I need, or maybe, a way to copy the last_modified info to another column and then I use this info. |

The picture in post #5 should not be possible
![]() last_modified is a system NAME. When I try and format it like a USER (custom) column... I use the Tweaks to set the format |

On the other hand, things might get confusing if the column headings are the same as a system column. |
