[Content Server] Opening PDF in Browser instead of download

I was wondering if there's anyway I can stop the content server from auto downloading PDF books, instead I would like to have the option to open in browser, especially Chrome.

Any help with that ?

You don't understand how browsers work.
PDF is a file, not a page. The whole thing has to 'download' before it can be opened. Inside your browser, it may just happen silently, then use a PDF plugin to render inside the browser.
The file then gets marked as a king of trash for cleanup.
Want to view again later? Another full download

Yea I understand that, my question is how to modify the htaccess or headers to enable Chrome or other browsers to do that instead of just downloading it

Don't you just tell Chrome (settings) what to do with a PDF (PDF Plugin or Mime type setting)?

some PDFs behaved poorly under Firefox (on XP), I changed a setting to always open in an external viewer (the flip of what you want).

Here's a solution to a similar problem, it may give you a clue ==>> Can't open PDFs in Firefox [...]

As discussed in that thread, files that use "Content-Disposition: attachment" will not open in the builtin PDF viewer in Firefo and presumably Chrome.

I can confirm calibre delivers files using "Content-Disposition: attachment".

Code:
[eschwartz@arch ~]$ curl -I "http://127.0.0.1:8080/get/pdf/Clan%20Rathskeller%20-%20Kevin%20Hearne_726.pdf"
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Length: 151661
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Clan Rathskeller - Kevin Hearne_726.pdf"
Server: calibre/2.34.0.r24.g66b9085
