Dell Axim X50/X50v reviews popping up

It took only a couple of hours after the official release for several Axim X50/v reviews to pop up:

Dell Axim X50v Pocket PC with VGA Display (PDA Buyer's Guide)
Dell Axim X50 and X50v Review (Brighthand)
Dell Axim X50 and X50v Review (BargainPDA)
Dell Axim X50: Dual Slot Goodness at a Reasonable Price (Pocket PC Thoughts)
Dell Axim X50v High (Aximsite)
Dell Axim X50 Mid (Aximsite)
Dell Axim X50 and X50v (PDA Geek.com)
Dell Axim X50v (infoSync World)
Dell Axim X50 Advanced (infoSync World)
Dell Axim X50 Standard (infoSync World)
Dell Axim X50 / X50v Pocket PC (pocketnow.com)

Skimming through all these reviews, the new Axim series evolves as a clear winner!

Thanks for the refs Morpheus. One thing that concerns me is that I understand that there are still VGA support issues with the PPC software (like similar problems previously for HiRes+ when it was new in the Palm world). But there's a software program that helps.. sorry I don't remember the name. Thing is, you have to do a soft reset to switch modes. I think that would be quite a pain, wouldn't it? Does the hpx4700 have the same VGA issues?

As I understand it, this problem is based in the OS, not the hardware. The Brighthand review goes into this at some length and names the third party app, whose name escapes me also.

Well VGA is still new, and if I remember correctly, when Sony came out with the first hires (320x320) PDAs, there was hardly any third party app supporting it either.

Julie Strietelmeier from The Gadgeteer now also reviewed the X50v.
