paragraphs

My first post so I hope I'm in the right forum.

When converting from azw3 to pdf is there anyway I can control the space between paragraphs. At the moment there is none for most of my books.

Your post probably belongs in one of the ebook software forums, perhaps in the Calibre forum. I use Calibre for my conversions and it allows you to modify paragraph spacing in most formats. I never convert to PDF because I hate the format so can't give more specific advice on converting to PDF.

Here's the Calibre help section explaining format conversion: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/conversion.html#.

In general, go into preferences - change caliber behavior - conversion - common options. You'll find an option that allows you to add or remove spacing between paragraphs. I hope this helps, but again I don't ever convert to PDF so can't really tell you much about PDF conversions. Just for curiousity's sake, why do you want to convert to PDF? It's a horrible format for ebooks.

Why on earth would you want to go from AZW3 to PDF?

There is that, and there shouldn't be any blank spaces between paragraphs anyway.

Thanks

Much appreciated. I use pdf conversions occasionally because I access scientific ebooks and need to copy or change some of the text.

But if you need to change some of the text, why convert to PDF? you can use Calibre's Edit book to edit the text in an AZW3 (KF8) eBook. Also since you can convert to PDF, you can copy the text from the AZW3 directly.

The conversion to PDF just seems like a more complicated step. Editing a PDF is not as easy as editing the KF8 eBook.
