A downloadable catalog of Librivox recordings?
Does anyone know if there is a downloadable catalog of Librivox recordings? I'm very grateful for their continuing efforts to provide free audio recordings of public domain books, but it would be nice to be able to peruse their offerings at leisure without having to be online.

The only thing close that I found is the Librivox catalog page on archive.org which has links to the files or the Librivox catalog at the Librivox Wiki which just provides a text list. Both are multiple pages long and so both would require something like the scrapbook plugin for Firefox to save the individual webpages offline.

That's better than nothing, I suppose, but it's not quite what I was hoping for. Still, I can't complain too loudly. Beggars can't be choosers.

At the moment, I can't get anything other than Librivox.org 's home page. When I click on "genre/subject" it just goes nowhere. In March I got a lot of yummy books from them, but yesterday and today they aren't working at all. (Hmm, new machine and OS upgrade since then.) Do they still work for you?

I'm on my iPad at the moment because we're having a T-storm in our area, so I haven't tried to download anything, but when I took a Safari to Librivox.org just now it appeared to be working fine. All the links appear to be working. You may want to try it again, Deb; they may have been doing maintenance earlier.

I'll have to try it from home. From work, I can only get anything through the archive link in post 2. Very strange.....

Yeah, who knows. The first page comes up, but all clicks go nowhere. Anyway, it works now (though it's slower at home )

Is anything like NoScript installed on your work computer? If so, you may have to give permission for scripts to run on the page.

Okayyyy ... and now it DOES work. There was an extra, tailing pound sign on the URL yesterday & the day before, which doesn't seem to be there today. ?? Oh well ....
