Does this happen to anyone else?

I am using a lot of bandwidth, copying files to a new 128 GB SD card. I guess that is why I wasn't told there was a new version when I imported some books today. But when AA's tools didn't work, that was my sign to go looking.

If there is a new version out, AA's tools don't work until I install the new version. Since I see a lot of questions from people who are using an old version, either (1) they are not using AA's tools, or (2) the tools work on whatever version of Calibre they are using.

Can anyone answer this?

Thanks, and Happy New Year

Debra

I would suggest a reboot. Installing a new version often requires this and even if it doesn't it does require a restart of calibre with all child processes closed.
