Font size used in messages
Is there any way we can increase the font size used in the message texts.
I am finding it increasingly difficult to read the small text. Headings, and the front page are fine -- just the messages. |

In Firefox, just hit control & plus. Either plus works. To go down a size, hit contol & dash (minus). Control & zero puts the text size back to normal. |

If you are using internet explorer then click on 'view' (in the toolbar at the top of the page) then on 'text size'. Select something larger.

Thank you both. I did know about increasing the text size in a browser (I use IE 6) but some websites do not work and MobileRead is one of them.

may i take this occasion to strongly recommend (as a webdesigner) that you switch to Firefox ? IE (*especially* version 6) is a piece o' crap (full of security holes, webstandards out the window...), and no-one at ALL should use it.
also, using firefox you can resize easily the text on MobileRead (as JSWolf explained). i have tested just now and it works, i've never seen a site where it did *not* work unless the site used flash or images (not editable html text). plus, it's free. http://www.mozilla.com it's a much better browser overall. |

I didn't know that IE 6 didn't work to change the text size here. But it does work with Firefox as zelda pointed out. So give Frefox a go and you can have larger sized text on the screen.

Happy to help. Glad you are enjoying Firefox and it's tabbed browsing is something I would never live without.

happy to help as well (and really thrilled to convert one more person to firefox as part of my plan to completely eliminate the nefarious IE scourge, one user at a time...).
firefox has many brilliant options which i could not live without ; tabbed browsing as JSWolf said, the bookmark management (especially the livesearch feature when they are open in the side panel), the "search" menu in the top right corner (you can add many different search engines to easily look up things in google but also imdb, wikipedia, dictionary.com, amazon, ebay, the list goes on...), and all the marvelous plugins. have fun discovering all the great advantages ! |
