My Iliad seems slow

It takes a long time to boot up or shut down. It takes forever to go to a new page. It takes forever to move through my directories. Anyone else having speed issues or is this normal?

Suggestions to speed it up?

This may be the norm. Booting up certainly takes a long time. See GottaBeMobile video review of the iRex Iliad to get a feel for how long page turns should take.

Can you define "a long time" and "forever"?

Boot time is usually something like 40 or 50 seconds. Going to a new page should take a second or two. I don't know about shutdown time, I usually just wait long enough to see that it's started shutting down and then set it aside.

Hi

Could any one explain why iLiad is extremely slow sometimes. more than 10 sec to view pages. but boot normaly.
i have developer package and i still use the main memory.

I've just installed gpe package, and i had to remove it, because it became too slow and i had to reset many times.

please advice

If you're viewing a document with a lot of images, it can slow things down. Especially if the images aren't sized correctly for the screen and the iLiad has to resize them on the fly.
