Anyone have an extra Kindle 180-degree USB power connector?
I went into staples the other day, & I noticed that on the Kindle there is a 180-degree USB connector to power the unit.
Does anybody know where to get this USB connector? In setting up the Kindle as a clock, it would seem that this connector is great to be more visually appealing. Thanks, Fabian |

Not even sure what you mean by a 180-degree USB connector.
A screen shot of the unit you were talking about would be nice. Its also possible its not a standard Kindle power cable. I use my Kindle regular power cord to charge 2 different Phones, and a camera. (all 4 devices and power cords are interchangable) by using one cord I can stash the others and not worry about keeping track of 4 different chargers |

this is the power cable connector that only comes with the in store retail display units. It is not for sale to the general public. I'm trying to find one for myself.

If you search for "90 degree USB connector", you should find a few sites that sell them. There are a couple listed on Amazon.com, for instance.
But, note that it is 90 degrees, not 180 degrees. Mike |

Right, the 180 plugs into the kindle, then wraps around the back side, making the visible connection flush so you do not see any cables. You can see this in any store which sells Kindles, like Staples.

Ah, that will most likely be some custom-made thingy, like the theft protection they typically use in shops to keep the units in place.
