The seaways of the world of the 19th century have become unsafe. Several ships report encounters and even collisions with a huge sea monster. The renowned French zoologist, professor Arronax, is offered a place on a naval expedition to rid the oceans of this new and unknown danger. But the truth behind the sea monster is stranger than the professor had imagined, and he ends up joining the mysterious Captain Nemo on an epic journey through the deep blue seas.
