Calibre Sony PRST1 Collections
New to this whole Calibre thang.
I created a new hierarchical column named genre I set up my books with the new column i.e. SciFi.Aszimov.Foundation All works fine in the tags browsing etc. I added an save template as follows to convert the column periods to slashes: {#genre:re(\.,/)}/{title} If I save a book to disk, the directory structure is created as expected. SciFi/Azimov/Foundation/bookname I created the same 'Save template' to my device configuration options. (Use sub directories is checked) If I save to device, the book is saved to the reader in the directory: Sony_Reader/media/books/SciFi/Azimov/bookname When I disconnect, the book appears in the reader, but no collections ? I've deleted the books.db file, reset the device etc. The whole idea is to create collections within sub collections. What am I missing? Thanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Firstly - the Sony does not care about the directory structure you keep your books in. The directory structure Save template is unrelated to Sony Collections definition.
Secondly - Collections are set in the Sony PRST1 device interface driver, Prefs - Plugins - Device Interface - SONY PRS-T1 - Customize plugin in the box labeled 'Comma separated list of metadata fields ...', namely the box below the Save template box. If you want to use a custom column, such as your new genre column it needs a # in front, i.e. #genre. A standard calibre column doesn't need the #, e.g. tags Thirdly - I'm not sure that the PRST1 even supports nested Collections. However, I've never used nested Collections myself, so I could be wrong. |
