Calibre interface problem
Hi, I've been using Calibre for a couple of years now and just love it. I get the new updates and they have improved many things, especially pdf to epub conversion.
The problem I'm having is that the Calibre interface will not set itself to my system default settings. I have changed the interface look & feel to system default, yet it will not change. The original version 0.8 from Ubuntu repo would change to system default colors. But no new updates do. The computer I use is a lenovo X121e running Ubuntu 12.04. Any suggestions? |

That will happen because the version og Qt bundled with calibre is incompatible with whatever your system default theme is. The only way around that is to compile calibre from source yourself or use you (usually out of date) distro version of calibre.

Thanks, kovidgoyal.
I'm not too certain of doing a source compile. And, although I would prefer my system defaults, I can live with the calibre settings; functionality being more important than appearance to me. Thanks, again, for your quick response. |
