Previously imported books not showing as "on device"
I imported (and decrypted) some books from my Kindle. I then edited the metadata to standardize names, series names, etc. Now when I connect my Kindle, only about half of the books are checked as "on device". How can I tell the library that the modified file in the library should match up with the unmodified file on the device?

I suspect you can't. Since you have changed the books they no longer match. They have different titles and authors and so on.
One way to handle this could be to delete the original books on the device, and use calibre to send the new "liberated" books to the device instead. Then the books on the device will match the books in the calibre library. This is what I do when I have bought a book with DRM protection. |
