No Images When HTML Converts to Mobi -Why?
I'm creating an eBook.
I reformatted my information in MSword, ridding the text of hard returns, using page breaks as chapter breaks, changing the font to Times Roman, using only 10, 12 or 14; removing extra images and reinserting them using insert only and centering. I saved this as HTML -- which resulted in a .htm file and a folder of the jpgs. Using Calibre, the translation of the html to mobi looked great -- except for the blue squares with question marks where the images should be. How can I get the images included in the .mobi? I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance for your advice and assistance. |

Did you look at the HTML to see if the images showed up?
Do you also know that MS Word to anything else is a mess? |

Thanks for thinking along with me on this!
YEs-- I checked the .htm before conversion and it looked great. I had worked it down to 4 critical/illustrative images and they were there. Thing is the .htm is in the folder with the images --and am not sure how to enable/get them to go with the .htm on conversion. |

You'll (at least) have to post the code/CSS code for anyone to be able to maybe help.

The layout you mention is not the one that Word normally creates when saving in HTML format? If you use the option in word to save as "Web Page (filtered)" I would expect to see the .htm file accompanied by the images in a folder named like the .htm file. |
