If they offered a similar bundle price in the US I'd probably even gift a few copies. I like this series a lot and can't wait for the next installment to come out on Tuesday.

It costs £21.99 here in the UK. It would cost £26.46 to buy the books separately, though, so I guess it still represents reasonable value for money.

I think I'll wait for a U.S. discount. I rarely spend much for books certainly not $29.99. I did buy a copy of Shakespeare (hardcover) for $45.00 in the 80's and got a complete set of Will Durant's "Story of Civilization" for $45.00 some yrs back but generally I don't like spending a lot of $ for just one book and a bundle that has each book at about $7.50 or there about is no real bargain I'd say. I bought the Durant books at the price I did because each volume alone was around $20.00 brand new and there were 11 volumes in the set. So rather than $220.00 I spent $45.00 and saved $175.00. They are all hard cover books and in great condition too.

I think this is strictly a Canadian (maybe UK) deal, so far.

Tsk. 29.99 here, too. I would have bought it for 11.99 -- Husband likes the series a lot.
Alright, Canada. You win. THIS time. |
