1. Run Book Designer
2. Open the DRM-free LIT file 3. Proceed to clean it up. Most of the problems will be titles and subtitles that are not really titles and subtitles. I just convert them to paragraphs and fix the excess spacing if there is any. 4. Once you've cleaned up the book, save it as Book Designer (HTML0) and Sony Reader and voila. |

I prefer to start with the RTF file from Baen. All I do with those is:
1. Download the RTF and the "large size" cover picture from Baen. 2. Open the RTF in BD. 3. Use "Element Browser" to make sure that nothing's been made into a title that shouldn't be one. 4. Select "Make Sony Reader Book", and drag the high-res cover picture onto the title image box. 5. Make the book. That's it. Takes about 2 minutes, max, and gives you a nicely formatted LRF book. |

For example: in EB you can see chapters 6 7 8 1 2 As it should be. When you open lrf file and look at TOC, you get this: 6 7 8 2 chapter 1 is missing, although it ic clearly marked as a title ... |

This happens when two title are too close together. An easy fix is to have a lot of whitespace in front of the later title.

Thanks, I will try it and let you know.
[EDIT] Nope. It doesn't help. even if I insert 30 empty lines or a page break. It doesn't want to add the title to the TOC, although EB recognises it correctly. Very odd... Last edited by astra; 07-20-2007 at 02:41 PM. |

In the Make Sony Reader file requester set toc to all or full. I think it defaults to short which may be the problem.

It's not a bug in BD, just a settings issue. Anyway, glad it's working now.
