As a middle aged glasses wearer, I don't wear glasses with either of my e-readers. I haven't needed to compensate by enlarging the font yet but I do play with the background colors and text colors on my Nook Color. My girlfriend does compensate on her Kindle by enlarging the font rather than wearing reading glasses.

While I can get by without glasses for a time, using my left eye for distance and right for close-up, doing so for more than fifteen minutes or so is uncomfortable. I can read the tiniest print with my right eye unaided (and will in fact take off my reading glasses to do so), but that's separate from the equalizing effect I need. But I do like bigger fonts, using my Kindle's default font on size 5 of 9, which is about the same size as the biggest eBookwise font.

I voted yes, as I normally do wear my glasses while reading from my Sony PRS-505, but occasionally I will read without them and bump up the font to compensate.

I enlarge the fonts but still have to use my glasses. I can't see anything up close, regardless of size.
My kids laugh when they see the font size on my Kindle, as it looks like I'm reading a child's book. |

For some reason, I can read my Kindle better without my glasses. The font looks slightly bigger and darker with my glasses off.

Reset the font and away I go! Tempted to wear glasses sometimes, but it is always easier to read a larger font. So far!

Sony medium font is plenty big; half the time I use small -- it depends on the book.

I usually wear contact lenses but even when I'm wearing glasses I usually have them on when I read. Only when I read in bed at night I sometimes take them off when reading, but I don't increase the font size.

In the daytime I wear my glasses; at night in bed I just bump the font up to huge.

All my books are Large Print now. I used to have to switch to reading glasses but now I can use the bottom of my bi-focals and just enlarge the font to Large.
My kids also laugh and say all the page turns I have to do are draining the batteries that much faster. So what. I'm very happy to comfortably read all books. |

To reduce the number of page turns, I usually wear glasses. On occasion, though, I just bump up the font size yet another notch from its already increased size.
