Just found out that Book Depository is offering a 10% discount coupon.

Click on this link and enter FCBZ10 in the coupon block when checking out.

It will only work if you follow the link, otherwise it doesn't give you the option to enter the coupon code. This is for the .co.uk site.

It says it's for Paypal and eBay users, but from my testing it works for everyone. With the free international shipping this should be of use to those of you who still enjoy physical books as well.

Valid until 20 January 2011

Has anyone bought ebooks from them? Apperently if you can see the ebook as available to buy it means that the geographic restrictions doesn't prevent you from buying the book.

It's determined by your IP and I don't know if there are any additional safeguards in place.

yes I've bought a few ebooks, afaik they just use your ip to check if you can purchase, do if the item is displayed you can go ahead with purchase

BTW you should always check the facebook page before purchasing, as it nearly always has a 10% code

Better World Books donates a portion of the profits to literacy and libraries. I've ordered from the for the first time at the end of December, and still waiting for the package to arrive.

They don't offer such a speedy service as The Book Depository. 11 business days and I can get my orders at the Post Office.

Just checked and indeed this is still working. However, I find that even with the discount, the US store is still cheaper for Australians, so I'll stick to that for the moment.

Yes, it depends on the individual titles. Some are cheaper in the UK store and others are cheaper in the US store. I haven't quite figured out how it works, but it pays to price compare before buying.

Also the 10% discount is subtracted at the end of the process (it doesn't show the lower prices in the basket) so be sure to compare the prices after subtracting 10%.

Thanks for this! I bought a lot of books from the Book Depository in 2009 and they were always excellent. I'm going to see if there's anything I'm very interested in

For those who might have missed it, the AMEX11 code is still valid till Monday the 14th. So if you want to add to your physical book collection it would be a good chance,

A great way to make the most of deals like this is to pre-order new releases. They automatically have a 25% discount on pre-order items and then you get an addition 10% discount.
