Kindle 3: run script when turning wifi on?
Hi,
Any idea how I can run a script when wifi is started via the kindle interface? The kindle 3 comes with rsync (which even works fine with dropbear/ssh) and it would be great to rsync a book collection automatically from a server when the wifi connection is turned on (not with wan/3g though!) There is a /etc/network/if-up.d/ directory on the kindle, but I don't know if it is used after booting. The wifi connection seems to be controlled via the /usr/sbin/wifid process which runs as a daemon, and probably ignores the /etc/network/*/ scripts (I haven't tried it though!). Anyone has an idea about how to achieve that? Thanks! |
