Question Sharing Books on Kindle 3

My husband has a Kindle 3 and I am considering getting one. I've done a bit of research and was wondering if both Kindles are registered to his account, would we both be able to access the books that he purchases? If so, would we be able to read them simultaneously? How many Kindles can be registered to the same account to take advantage of that functionality if it works?

Thanks!

Welcome to MobilRead, aggiegirl92

As long as the K's are registered to the same account, you can both access them.......download directly to one device, then go to your account and download it to the other.

Up to 6 Kindles can be registered......

If you're trying to read the same book simultaneously, it's best to turn off device synchronization (on Amazon's account management page) or leave the wireless on each of the K3's turned off. Otherwise, you will be fighting each other's "Furthest Read" page.

Actually, any number of Kindles can be registered.

Most books have a limit of 6 devices to which they can be downloaded at one time, though.

You have to delete the book to free up the license, I believe.

I have 5 Kindles and 7 non kindles on my account and they can all share books but most books will only allow you to have the books on up to 6 devices at once. After that I think you need to call Amazon CS to get it reset
