txtr für iPhone/iPod jetzt auch mit ePub!
Wizpac, der Macher des kommenden txtr Readers sowie Betreiber der Publikationsplattform txtr.com, hat endlich die Anwendung für iPhone/iPod aktualisiert und mit ePub-Unterstützung ausgestattet.
Anzeige, Bedienung und Lesekomfort sind zwar bei Weitem noch nicht so ausgereift wie bspw. bei Stanza aber zumindest kann man nun endlich auch ePub-Dokumente direkt von txtr.com auf iPhone/iPod herunterladen und anzeigen. Hast du schon getestet, ob man wirklich nur "online" lesen kann, also eine Verbindung zu txtr braucht, während man liest? Zumindest lesen sich mehrere Bewertungen so. Und das wäre ja albern.
Das Mindeste, was man können sollte, ist ja schon, sich die Dokumente herunterzuladen, um sie offline zu lesen. |

Anscheinend ist es mit der neuen Anwendung möglich, Files runterzuladen und offline zu lesen. Bummer: leider scheint es noch nicht möglich zu sein, die Leseposition beizubehalten. Also: Reader mit Amnesie.

Mit neuen Features für die iPod/iPhone Version wird es wohl noch ein bisschen dauern. Ich habe schon vor einiger Zeit das ePub Feature angefragt. In der Antwort E-Mail stand das die Plattform und der Reader Priorität vor der AppStore Application haben und diese deswegen nur langsam verbessert wird.

Ja, klar. Da habe ich mich wohl nicht so gut ausgedrückt. Ich wollte mit dem Post nur sagen dass weiter Features wie Lesezeichen etc. wohl noch etwas auf sich warten lassen.

Auf txtr heisst das "collection" und ist im Prinzip ein Folder. Einzige Einschränkung ist, dass ein Folder keine Folder enthalten kann.
Und selbstverständlich kann man collections zwischen Gerät und txtr.com in sync halten. Vorzugsweise synchronisiert sich das früh morgens, damit alles schon mal up to date ist, wenn man los geht. |

Danke für die Antwort. In der txtr Plattform gibt es ja Tabs und ihnen untergliedert Ordner. Wird der txtr dass genauso übernehmen können. Ich ordne meine eBooks nämlich immer nach Genre/Autor/eBook und hoffe dass das auch mit dem txtr funktioniert. Auf der Plattform geht es ja ohne Probleme (Tab als Genre, Autor als Ordner, Seine Bücher).

Auf txtr.com ist es augenscheinlich zu einem größeren Update gekommen. Das neue Design sagt mir aber ehrlichgesagt nicht so zu wie das alte.

Ich finde es nach kurzer Eingewöhnunhszeit ganz praktisch.
Nur der Link zum Hochladen von Covern funzt bei mir jetzt wieder gar nicht. Bei der vorherigen Version ging es ne ganze Zeit lang. |
