Clara 2E Problem with the wishlist in Kobo Clara 2E

I'm having an issue with my Kobo Clara 2E, using firmware v. 4.38.23080

Whenever I try to navigate my wishlist, it looks like it is continuously refreshing (the screen flashes in black just like when the screen is refreshed after every chapter/X pages during reading), resetting its position to the first page, and basically making it unusable.

Trying to navigate to other pages is useless, since this "reset" always bring me to the first page and the refresh keeps going on.

I am also puzzled since it is not happening 100% of the times, sometimes it works as expected, but very often I experience this broken behavior. I'm not really sure if it actually is updating something in the background (prices? book details?), but it si very annoying, as I cannot browse it.

Has somebody else experienced this issue? What is causing this? Is there a solution that an end user can apply to solve it?

I have a Clara 2E and have never experienced this. When I open my wishlist in it, all is exactly as I'd expect.

Having said that, I'm a bit confused by your reference to firmware 4.38.23080. I thought that 4.38.23038 was the most recent version; that's what I have.

My Sage has always, as far as I recall, flashed the screen endlessly if I view the wishlist while it is online. Have hence stopped doing it.

After seeing query about this, checked to see if it still happened. Yes.

Should check if Aura One also does it. Think I would have noticed. It never did while I used it but there have been many software updates since then. If Aura One does this now, one of those probably caused it. Use shop via web interface using Firefox anyway. OK have looked. I had signed out of my account on the Aura One and deleted all sideloaded books so my wife could have it. So I cannot look at a wishlist. It is now effectively my wife's property, though I keep the software up to date and this does not need me to be logged on. I could put my account details back in, look at my wishlist, and log out again. I may try that at some point.

It does like it would make using wishlist on Kobo Sage itself somewhere from a tad annoying to positively vexing.

Before asking for help, update your Clara 2E to 4.38.23038 and if you still have the problem then ask for help. You problem could have been solved in the latest firmware.

Though I don't really consider myself to have a problem as I use the www.kobo.com website to maintain my wishlist anyway.
