Older versions of Calibre Companion?

Is there any way to get older versions of CC?
Perhaps APK files?

I've got both 5.4.4.1 and 5.4.3.3 versions.

If you'd care to share a cloud drive unit I'd happily upload them.

Kind regards,

Thanks for your kind offer.
I've decided to go with a custom rom to get my Galaxy Tab 2 to Lollipop.

If you are still happy to help, you should be able to add them to https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Dw&usp=sharing

Thanks

On the Android "sdcard" they are in a folder such as "calibre companion\A\Alex Scarrow\Pirate Kings.epub".

I realise now I should have made a backup before removing the play store version (which I didn't know I needed to do upfront and wasn't prepared).

I have no idea (no Android > 11), but I would try to transfer the books from Calibre again.

This is a clean version - no issues using it and it works fine with Moon Pro. I've kept a copy of it on my desktop just in case my Android devices decide to update to the broken version despite me turning auto-update off.

Here is the latest version that still works for me:
https://we.tl/t-cV2bxhB7u3
It's the one that ends in 19 (5.4.4.19 I think?)
Had to 'apkise' it from the one installed on my phone that hadn't thankfully updated yet.
Don't forget to block its update in Play Store and never do "update all" as it will be among those where an update is proposed, every time. (I would love to know how to stop that BTW).

Sign the APK yourself using apk-signer, which you can get from the Play Store. This will create a new APK file that gives you a warning ("untrusted signer" or something) when you try to install. But once you install it will never auto-update.

It worked great for me. I got a new tablet, installed CC and had all sorts of issues (took forever to d/l books using the 'connect as wireless device' function, couldn't recognize that Moon+ reader was installed, crashed every time I went into settings/fonts).
I un-installed, used settings/apps/CC/data to make sure all old data was gone, installed the APK above and not only does it work fine with Moon+ but I was able to d/l about 11K books in a couple of hours (did it in 1K blocks. Each of those took about 20 min.
Trying to decide if I uninstall the CC on my other 2 devices, replace it with this. I did notice that incremental updates (new books) were taking a lot more time than it used to. It seems to still work fine with Moon, but if they break that with another borked update I'll know what to do.

Oh, and if you do this, remember to go into the Play store, go to CC and disable auto updates

Hope this helps someone - many, many thanks to the person who put the APK up on Mega.nz (figures it'd be a N-Zer, all the ones I've met are remarkably good folks - or maybe mega's where everybody puts stuff to share).
