Only Finding Audiobooks
The Amazon metadata plugin only seems to find audiobooks most of the time. I have "Prefer Kindle edition" checked and have the plugin set to US, Amazon servers. Am I missing a setting?

What books are returned depends on the search engine results, you can try using a different engine by configuring the amazon metadata plugin.

Thanks! I gave that a try and while it did work, it usually found the paperback or hardcover version of the book. I realized I wasn’t very clear in my first message. I’m specifically looking for the kindle version (when available) so I can grab the correct asin number for X-ray/Goodreads capability.
I’ve noticed that when Amazon has the choice between kindle, audiobook, hardcover, and paperback, the Amazon metadata plugin, using the Amazon servers, almost always selects the audiobook which provides me with the incorrect asin. Any other server doesn’t seem to grab the kindle version either. If I go to the Amazon page and select kindle, I can copy and paste the correct asin but that would be an impossible task for all of my books. Thanks again for the suggestion. |
