It doesn't seem to depend on how long the screensaver was on. It does appear to depend on what book you reading. It's a software quirk. For many books, the K2 will refresh properly and there will be no ghosting at all. For some books, e.g. Free Range Chickens, the bottom status bar doesn't fully refresh and a faint image of the screensaver text is visible when the K2 is put to sleep while in the book and then re-awakened.

Alt-G fixes it. I wouldn't be surprised if a future software update resolves it as well (since many books don't have the ghosting issue at all).

Tried mine again after leaving it on sleep all night long. No sign of ghosting whatsoever.
