Error in Calibre on connecting Kobo Libra Colour

Hello everyone, I'm just getting the hang of my new Kobo Libra Colour.

I have a well organised Calibre library and I've set up the Kobo plugins to play nice with the reader. I've successfully sent books to it, but whenever I connect it I get an error message.

Does anyone know what this means? I'm using Calibre on a Mac...

ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

CorruptError: database disk image is malformed

Exactly what it says. The database on the Kobo is corrupt and needs to be deleted and recreated.

The easiest way to delete it is to go to Preferences| Accounts and Sign-out from your Kobo account.

When the device restarts you will need to redo the device setup steps.
