Barbara Nadel's The Ottoman Cage is a spicy thriller set in Istanbul's back alleys.

Inspector Cetin Ikmen and forensic pathologist Arto Sarkissian have been friends since childhood, and their work together in Istanbul's criminal justice system has only served to cement their friendship. I remember reading and liking a lot of Bill Crider's Sheriff Dan Rhodes series back in "real paper" book days. But I haven't read any of the three books in his Dr Sally Good series. And now two of the three are on sale for extra nice prices, so I will probably give them a try.

Instead, it has the first book (which won/was a finalist for a ton of awards), and then the eight, ninth, and tenth books. Go figure!

But in any case, it's on sale right now for $3.99 in the US, which is a great price if you need them all, and not bad even if you only need a couple.
