I watched the Star Trek: Voyager episode where Tom Paris manages to reach warp 10 in a shuttle (occupying every area of the universe simultaneously). Somehow this causes him to turn into a salamander/catfish thing.
Spoiler:
It was very strange. Someone made a version of it styled after Star Trek: The Animated Series: |

Sounds too messy for me - I'm sticking with the infinite improbability drive...

What I find especially funny about this is that there's one TOS episode where sufficiently advanced aliens modify the Enterprise's engines to reach warp eleven. Nobody turned into salamander/catfish things there.

It is hard to believe that they allowed it to escape. I am truly boggled by it. There are some I've given up on--for example, Murdoch Mysteries (!) because I used to really like it, maybe even love it a bit, but it's gone...IDK. It's gone somewhere, somehow that I just no longer love. I don't know why/how, etc. but meh. THIS ONE, though. wowzers. So so so so bad. LOLOL. I would pay money to know how the hell it got a 5.8 on IMDB. If that's not vote-rigging, I don't know what is. Hitch |

Following the logic of warp drive, since in TOS a warp factor is a cube, and in TNG is to the fifth power, then the next level up would be to the seventh power (which would mean 40,353,607 times the speed of light at Warp Factor 9).

We watched the so-so Vancouver show Cold Squad with a pre-BG Michael Hogan.
Now working through the 12 seasons of the French mystery anthology Murder In... Not great overall but some eps are pretty good and locales are interesting, e.g. one is Reunion Island.Always a 2-detective team with some not-too-intrusive "complication" between them - usually one local and one national sent in just for this case. A good semi-permanent cast would be nice but those are rare - this is better than being stuck with a Neil Dudgeon type year after year. |

Rewatched The Mummy (Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz) yesterday. It's been a while since I've seen it last. But I've seen it so many times that it's the perfect movie to put on when crafting (Lego in this case).
Otherwise I've put on Critical Role when building this past week. Next week the new version of The Crow is coming out in cinemas. It's neither a remake of the Brandon Lee original nor a sequel. Rather a new interpretation of the original graphic novel. So far what I've seen and read about it I'm not impressed. But then the 1994 movie is my favourite movie ever, so it'll take a lot to impress me. I think if they hadn't named the main characters Eric Draven and Shelley Webster people would be a lot more open to it. But, according to my sister, I'm not allowed to critique a movie I haven't seen, so when tickets become available tomorrow I'll see if I can go see it on Thursday or Friday. |

Why should you be banned from criticizing a movie you haven't seen when so many other people are more than willing to do so?

I am watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. Overall, I am not really enjoying it, but there are some hilarious moments, and really does highlight the weird quirks society has developed. Maybe it is a show not meant to be binge-watched. |

However, she also doesn't like me giving my opinion about the trailers and previews and saying that going by those that I'm afraid the movie isn't going to be good. I'm genuinely hoping it's a great movie, but going by what they've shown so far I'm a bit afraid.
