Sticky Notes now viewable with Kindle for iOS (and Scribe features 'coming soon')

You can also Export. It works the same as before, but includes HTML with thumbnails of the sticky notes.

(Note the Kindle for iOS app does not have a Share option for personal documents apart from exporting the Notes. Scribe will let you Share the entire contents of the document (to PDF).)

Kindle for Android (and presumably Fire) 'in 2024'. No mention of pen annotations to personal documents in Print Replica format.

On the Scribe front:

Quote:
Coming soon: Select one or multiple pages of your notebook at a time to move, add, delete, export, or convert to text to send toyour contacts.
Good to see they are still working on Scribe features, and this one will be nice to have.

I'm still hoping they turn on support for Kindle Store Print Replica format for Scribe; should not require any updates unless they feel like they need to add the Flash Card feature that the Kindle apps have.

And good if they could add handwriting recognition so that you could search Notebooks and sticky notes. I would not need on-device convert to text myself, but with more than a few dozen notebooks downloaded it really calls out for some solution to find stuff you have written (text notes for books and personal documents are searchable). Fire 11 Max has handwriting conversion so this would 'just be' a subset of that.

Good to see that external pressure from YouTubers etc. seems to drive development cycles at the Kindle division

It's interesting to see the updates coming to Sticky Notes on Kindle for iOS, especially with the upcoming Scribe features like exporting and managing notebook pages. The addition of HTML export with thumbnails seems practical, although it's currently limited to Kindle for iOS, with Android and Fire updates expected in 2024. It would be great if they could introduce support for Kindle Store Print Replica format and handwriting recognition, which could make searching through notebooks and notes much easier. These improvements could reveal some cool facts about how users interact with their digital notes.
